Gawith Hoggarth's Balkan Mixture is a charming blend of Latakia, Virginia and Oriental leaves. There is no doubt about the high quality of tobaccos used and their expertly blended ratios. First off there's the Latakia which gives this mixture its darker colours and dominant smoky aroma. Whereas many Latakia blends can be a little salty or acerbic in nature, this Latakia is smooth and rounded while still being full of flavour. The Virginias are sweet, supporting the Latakia, giving the blend stability.
